Purpose:

The proposed temple will serve as a spiritual, cultural, and community center for people residing in Belgium. It will provide a sacred space for worship, religious ceremonies, festivals, language and cultural education, yoga and meditation sessions, and interfaith dialogue.

Justification:

The Hindu community in Belgium is growing steadily, with families, students, and professionals contributing to the cultural and social fabric of the nation. Currently, access to spaces dedicated to Hindu worship and cultural activities is limited, often requiring long travel or relying on makeshift accommodations. A dedicated temple would not only fulfil religious needs but also promote integration, mutual respect, and understanding among diverse communities.

Proposed Features:

Prayer hall and altar for regular pujas and festivals, Classrooms for language and scripture learning, Community kitchen and event hall, Cultural education and youth activities and Open space for meditation and yoga

We request the support of the local authorities and the broader public in facilitating this endeavour, including the provision or allocation of suitable land, and any necessary administrative assistance for registration and development.
